Ingredients
 

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 3 cups kale, chopped
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400F/205C.

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

  • Add the ground beef, ground Italian sausage, black pepper, salt, dried oregano, onion powder, and garlic powder. Use a spatula to break up the meat. Cook the meat until it is browned, drain off any excess grease.

  • Add the marinara sauce and bring to a low simmer.

  • Add the chopped kale and simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the kale has softened.

  • Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.

  • Transfer the casserole to an oven-safe baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
